Are you an enthusiastic and guest-orientated Food & Beverage professional? Do you want to be involved in both operational management and office management? Would you like to learn how a luxury hotel in the heart of Amsterdam structures and manages multiple high-end restaurants and bar? Then this might be the perfect opportunity for you!
 
What are you going to do?
You will be the main assistant of our Food & Beverage Management Team. Not a single day in this department is the same and that makes this internship diverse and exciting. Your time will be divided by 80% office-related tasks and 20% operational duty management in our restaurants and bar. One day you will be working on long-term projects that support the overall quality management of the department, the other day you will support the Meeting & Events team to organise a large-scale event. Next to that, you will be responsible for managing all of our restaurant and bar reservations. Other tasks, you will be responsible for are:

• Assisting our Food & Beverage managers with (staff) planning;
• Resolving guest enquiries and coordinating with other departments;
• Attend management meetings and coordinate the necessary follow-up actions;
• Designing menu cards for events and dinners;
• Administrative duties to support the performance of our teams.

Who are you?
For this opportunity we are looking for a forward-thinking hotel student who is energetic, eager to learn and passionate about high-end food and beverage service. You enjoy working in a bustling restaurant but you also have the capacity to create structure in your office-related tasks. Furthermore, you:

• Have excellent command of English and Dutch language (written and spoken);
• Are enrolled in a Bachelor study, preferably with a hotel, culinary or tourism background;
• Have experience in Food & Beverage roles in either hotels or restaurants;
• Have a service-minded and flexible approach;
• Are available for a minimum period of at least 6-10 months.
