Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager!
 
Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is a welcoming place, where guests find uncomplicated experiences in a casual atmosphere. Our hotel has 330 rooms and an inviting restaurant and bar, welcoming guests from all over the world for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also facilitate several meetings and events in our spacious event spaces.
We are looking for an easy-going and flexible person, dedicated to creating memorable experiences for our guests while optimizing the efficiency of the restaurant. Together with the Restaurant Manager, you are leading the ambitious and driven F&B Hosts and supervisors towards success.

Responsibilities

  • Together with the Restaurant Manager, you are responsible for coaching and leading all Food & Beverage outlets (restaurant, bar, meeting places) and assist the Front Office team where necessary;
  • You lead by example by creating connections with guests and leading the team’s success by increasing guest satisfaction scores;
  • You optimize the sales of the outlets and identify improvement areas;
  • You support the Restaurant manager with internal communication such as briefings and ensure all team members are up to date regarding any changes, promotions etc.;
  • You assist in maximizing employee productivity while meeting guest expectations;
  • You ensure that the scheduling of the F&B department is done in an efficient way;
  • You assist in handling all the restaurant administration in a correct way and according to the relevant rules and regulations;
  • You will provide training and support to the F&B Team by ensuring a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service in order to create memorable guest experiences;
  • You ensure the continuous development of the team regular feedback sessions;
  • You assist in maximizing the effectiveness of employees by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring and supporting them in their professional development goals;
  • You will train and guide the team in complaint handling and take action accordingly to prevent future complaints;
  • You ensure that the team has the supplies needed to operate on a daily basis, as well as ensuring that guest supplies are available at all times.

 
Qualifications

  • You have a European passport;
  • You have great language skills in English;
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to details;
  • You have a minimum of 2 year experience as Restaurant Teamleader or similar role in the hospitality industry;
  • You are flexible working in different shifts (morning, evening and weekends);
  • You thrive through the buzz of working in a dynamic team and in a great hotel;
  • You are passionate about hospitality;
  • You have an enthusiastic and caring attitude;
  • You are ready for a new challenge!

 
Preferred qualifications

  • Dutch language skills;
  • Social Hygiene Certificate;
  • BHV Certificate;
  • You have experience with MICROS and/or OPERA Property Management Systems.
