purpose 
The office restaurant team sets the stage for a relaxing coffee break, an amazing lunch and other social activities, with the purpose of connecting, social interaction and supporting our culture. In this role you will assist with all preparations in the restaurant as well as welcoming our guests/colleagues, helping out at the banqueting area, cleaning and serving. At times you will assist our food specialists with cooking-related preparations.

You are passionate about hospitality and making people feel welcome.
You love healthy food: your input will be welcomed for the creation of new recipes and improvement of our existing menus.

 key responsibilities

• welcoming our guests to the restaurant for coffee and lunch
• setting up meeting rooms 
• assisting with the organization of events and social activities 
• make sure the restaurant is ready for lunch by performing mise-en-place and preparatory work
• assisting the food specialists with food cooking and preparation
• cleaning the restaurant area, workspaces and dishes following hygiene and safety regulations HACCP
• receive & check daily deliveries
• monitoring the shelf life of products and their hygiene
• waste disposal according to our sustainability guidelines

qualifications / skills

• passion for food & hospitality
• organized, can-do mentality and not easily thrown off their game
• flexible team player and good communication skills
• attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• fluency in English and knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus

locations / hours

• This role is set in the office restaurant team in Voorschoten, for 32 hours, 4 days a week, Monday till Thursday.
  The office is currently not open on Fridays, but Fridays may be a possibility again in the future.
