At Crowne Plaza Amsterdam South we believe every plate tells a story. So, we’re searching for a Sous Chef with a palate for serving up truly memorable dishes. Whenever and wherever our guests choose to dine. Behind the scenes, you’ll ensure quality, maintain high standards and keep the kitchen running smoothly.

A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the tastebuds during breakfast, at the Club Lounge, Room Service, HappyHappyJoyJoy, Manhattan Lounge Bar, Canteen and Banqueting.
• Directing daily kitchen activities as well as coaching and developing the kitchen team.
• Being capable of leading a team towards hosting groups of people in both our restaurant, bar as well as our banqueting department.
• Encouraging and addressing guest feedback.
• Helping our Head Chef and F&B Manager plan events.

What we need from you:

• You bring at least 2 years of experience in a similar position with you or you are ready for the next step.
• Extensive knowledge of Asian cooking techniques and ingredients is an advantage
• You can dream all the ins and outs of HACCP legislation and understand how important this is in a large organization
• Someone who takes challenges with both hands and keeps smiling no matter what
• At least one year in a supervisory capacity, or equivalent combination of education and culinary/kitchen operations experience

The hotel offers 207 room, 6 meeting rooms, fitness facilities, a lively bar and two outdoor sun-terraces overlooking the Zuidas area. In 2020 the restaurant was rebranded to Happyhappyjoyjoy Zuidas, a concept known in Amsterdam for offering a delicious melting pot of Asian street food specialties.
