WHAT WILL YOU ACTUALLY BE DOING?
As the job title, Senior Sous Chef, says really: you will be assisting the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef with a smoothly run operation during service, that expects high motivation, planning and working on small tasks on your own and with a small team. As Senior Sous Chef you will lead the entire kitchen brigade, being responsible for operational management of the team and kitchen. Moreover, you will be contributing to the development of our menu that is market-driven and prepared with seasonal ingredients.

The kitchen works closely together with the Front of the house staff in order to service restaurant Celia, which is open on a daily basis, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A 24/7 Room service offering. Furthermore, the kitchen prepares food for the Conservatory and the different meeting rooms and our internal restaurant The Staff Canteen. Last, but not least, there is an open kitchen in Celia which ensures you can directly see the response of the guests receiving and enjoying their food.

WHO ARE YOU?
 
  • You are passionate and creative by nature and you know what hard working entails.
  • You have at least 5 years of working experience in a kitchen team with 1 year in a leadership position.
  • You are familiar with the different techniques used in a kitchen, like; washing, cutting, blending, and many more!
  • You are curious to learn more and to grow further.
  • You like to (co)supervise the entire kitchen brigade.
  • You do not have a 9-5 mentality.

Yes, we have standards and procedures, but it is up to you to make the stay of the guest special and memorable!
