Sous Chef – Meeting & Events
Are you a leader, with great passion for cooking and enthusiasm for the hotel industry? Do you want to work in a great team and do you have the ambition to grow? Then this is the position for you!
 
What are you going to do?
As our Sous Chef in the Meeting & Events kitchen you will be responsible for the internal organisation of the Meeting & Events kitchen, including planning of menus, overseeing all aspects of food preparation, hygiene and cost control. You will be in direct contact with the Meeting & Events sales and operational departments and responsible to uphold the highest level of standards and service to our guests. You will supervise the Meeting & Events kitchen team of 2-3, show great leadership, cooperation and flexibility in this very dynamic department.

The Conservatorium Hotel is a 5 star luxury hotel in Amsterdam and has been selected as one of the best 25 Luxury hotels of Europe over the past 5 years. We are part of ‘The Set Hotels’, which currently consists of 3 hotels (Amsterdam, Paris, London) all operating on the highest level of hospitality. Our guests consist of CEO’s, world famous artists and experienced travellers, which we service with our 300+ employees. We run a 24/7 operation and help each other where necessary.
 
Who are you?
Our new colleague has a passionate, fun and enthusiastic approach to cooking, has the ability to motivate junior members in the team in order to create an cohesive work environment.
Furthermore he or she has:
  • Experience in the same or similar position;
  • Good knowledge of Dutch or English language (written and spoken);
  • Familiar with hygiene code and HACCP regulations;
  • Ability to work evenings and weekend shifts.
 
What can you expect?
  • A salary between € 2300,- and € 3000,- (full time) and appropriate employment conditions, like a pension plan, travel expenses, collective health insurance etc.;
