Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is a business-focused hotel located in Lijnden, Netherlands, just ten minutes from Schiphol Airport and 25 minutes from Amsterdam city centre. The hotel primarily caters to business guests, touring groups, (stranded) Schiphol travellers, multi-day event attendees, and some leisure travellers. Facilities include a contemporary brasserie, stylish bar, and inviting lounge.

As Chef de Partie, with a strong interest in banqueting-style production kitchens to join our diverse team. In this role, you will focus on preparing high-volume buffets and group meals, including lunches and dinners for meetings, events, and hotel guests, as well as breaks for conferences. While à la carte service is part of the role, the primary focus is large-scale group catering.

Responsibilities

⦁ Support your section and assist in preparing dishes to the highest standards.

⦁ Manage mise en place, maintain hygiene, and help during service to keep operations smooth.

⦁ Apply techniques accurately, balancing speed with quality and presentation.

⦁ Monitor stock levels and maintain organisation.

⦁ Uphold hygiene and allergen protocols diligently across shifts.

Essential Requirements

⦁ Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar high-volume kitchen role is highly preferred

⦁ Experience with banqueting operations, buffet presentations, and group dining is a plus

⦁ Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive under pressure

⦁ Eligible to work in the Netherlands.

⦁ Fluent in English.

Preferred Requirements

⦁ A skilled chef with a passion for high-volume, large-scale production cooking

⦁ Ability to commute independently to the hotel location

⦁ Food Safety or SVH certification

⦁ Fluent in Dutch
