We are looking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Group, Meetings & Events Manager to lead the Group Meetings & Events (GM&E) strategy across six dynamic hotels in the Netherlands. This leadership role is central to driving revenue, enhancing guest experiences, and optimizing operational performance across the meetings and events portfolio. Reporting directly to the EVP Operations, you will manage and inspire GM&E team and collaborate closely with hotel General Managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate the GM&E team to achieve departmental targets and personal development goals.
• Provide strategic guidance and performance management for General Managers in relation to event operations.
• Manage incoming event enquiries across multiple platforms (email, phone, online portals), ensuring prompt and effective responses.
• Drive conversion through optimized diary management, upselling opportunities, and strong follow-up.
• Serve as the key liaison between Sales, Revenue, Operations and Hotel General Managers to ensure alignment and flawless event execution.
• Partner with the Regional Director of Revenue to develop pricing strategies, promotions, and manage need periods effectively.
• Champion a customer-first culture, ensuring personalized and high-quality client interactions.
• Create tailored proposals and maintain exceptional presentation standards.
• Monitor team performance, client satisfaction, and revenue outcomes. Implement process improvements where necessary.
• Oversee digital platforms such as Cvent and Venue Directory, ensuring proactive lead management and business conversion.
• Collaborate with the Regional Director of Revenue to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting for the GM&E segment.
• Support broader regional initiatives and contribute to strategic commercial projects.

What We're Looking For

• A strategic thinker with a proven track record in meetings & events or hospitality sales.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within a multi-property or large-scale event environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally across multi-property operations.
• Strong commercial acumen and insight into market trends and competitive positioning.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences and nurturing high-performing teams.
• Proficiency with digital sales platforms (Opera, Cvent, Venue Directory) and other CRM systems is a plus.
